Hi, I'm David McElrea, CEO of the Smart Energy Council.
And hi, I'm Warwick Johnston, the founder of SunWiz.
We've partnered to help consumers choose an installer for their solar and storage system.
SunWiz has determined Renewco Solar is among Australia's best-rated solar businesses.
So we encourage you to buy from Renewco Solar.
They rank among Australia's top-tier solar installers.
Choosing a solar installer you can trust is hard — the market is full of bold claims that are difficult to verify. SunWiz Awards exist to help Australian homeowners cut through that: they recognise the solar companies proven by independent installation and customer-review data — not marketing, nominations, or paid placement — to be among the best in their region. Renewco Solar is one of them, with 2 separate 2026 awards, every one earned on verified data.
Since 2009, SunWiz has tracked every solar power system installed across Australia, documenting each company’s installation volume. Rankings draw on the Clean Energy Regulator REC-Registry plus verified records from STC service providers, and on audited customer review data for review-based awards. Ranking positions are determined by data, independent of whether a company chooses to participate — SunWiz Awards are determined exclusively by data rather than by judging panels, nominations, or sponsor relationships. As the recognised authority on Australian solar market volumes, SunWiz data is referenced by corporations, NGOs, and government bodies.
Renewco Solar is a solar installer based in Lane Cove West, NSW, serving homeowners and businesses in Sydney and surrounding areas. With 15 years of experience in solar and renewable energy, the company has built its reputation on consistent installation quality and accessible expertise, offering solar panel and battery solutions designed around each customer's specific needs.
The company operates as a 100% Australian, family-owned and operated business, with a fully in-house team of electricians, solar technicians and consultants. This structure means the same team handles system design through to aftersales support, maintaining accountability throughout the customer journey rather than relying on third parties. Renewco Solar works with manufacturers such as REC, incorporating panel technology with efficiency ratings between 20.7% and 22.3%.
Beyond equipment selection, the company emphasises site-specific assessment, auditing household energy usage, roof space and local conditions to design systems suited to real-world performance. Its local presence and community focus underpin its approach to customer service, with Australian-based support provided for the lifetime of each installed system.
