Australia’s Top Solar Panel Manufacturers

Becoming a top solar panel manufacturer in Australia takes a combination of factors, including innovation, quality, reliability, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.

Innovation is key in the ever-evolving solar industry. A manufacturer must constantly invest in research and development to stay ahead of the competition. This could involve developing new technology, improving existing products, and exploring new markets.

Quality is another critical aspect of the industry. Solar panels must be reliable, efficient, and long-lasting. This requires rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure that the panels perform as advertised.

Reliability

Reliability is also an important factor in customer satisfaction. Solar panels must work reliably, day in and day out, with minimal maintenance. Customers want a product they can trust, and a top solar panel manufacturer must be able to provide that.

Customer satisfaction is a critical aspect of any business, and solar panel manufacturing is no exception. A manufacturer must provide excellent customer service, respond quickly to customer inquiries, and offer flexible financing options.

Sustainability

Sustainability is also a growing concern for consumers. A top solar panel manufacturer must be environmentally conscious and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint. This can involve using renewable energy sources, recycling materials, and reducing waste.

SunWiz is the authority on PANEL Manufacturer volumes in Australia

How can SunWiz state with confidence these panel brands are the Top Brands in Australia SunWiz is Australia’s primary source of market analytics for the Solar & Storage industry. We’ve been collating market information since 2009 and most of the leading solar businesses subscribe to our analytics. We collect information from many data partners that together encompass a large portion of the total installations that occur each month. No other market analyst has collated such a dataset. From this we are able to make a confident assessment of which are the top volume brands. We don’t have complete coverage and we’re willing to be proven wrong (in which case we’ll note it here and amend our ranks)

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. What Technologies are covered?

Solar power and energy storage systems. Our coverage is best in the residential and small-commercial segments.

We provide information on the following countries. In some countries we are able to provide state-level analytics.

Most of the major manufacturers (and many distributors) of panels. inverters, and batteries.

Most market intelligence providers which take a
top-down approach, using interviews to that are infrequent and whose accuracy depends
upon self-reported information. The market analysis approach breaks the links between
the datapoints, thereby reporting on market share without being able to report on the
    drivers of market share.

In contrast, SunWiz unleashes that value of rich. system-level datasets which retain the
relationships between datapoints. This means we can report on market share AND its drivers, including installer loyalty, share-of-wallet, price premium. Our data enables
manufacturers to respond with the right lever: for example by showing that a recent
down-turn in volumes is due to large installers doing less volume of your product
because they are using more of your competitors.

    We provide monthly-updated information

1.Perfect vs Regular & Reliable: Would you prefer something highly accurate but 12 months after the moment you can respond/react to it? Or would you prefer something you can regularly and confidently rely upon? Something that enables you to track and regularly respond?

2.The accuracy of the market share is something that is very reasonable, we get very good feedback. It may not always be absolutely accurate. But it is however relatively accurate – very useful for observing shifts, changes and trends.

3.The next thing to say about accuracy is that we are transparent about our accuracy.

4.For example, the accuracy does vary by country – it’s high where we access thousands of installers, or hundreds, or dozens for example. Where it gets more accurate is doing whole-of-market assessments for equipment characteristics. Where it gets less accurate is sub-national assessments of market share.

5.The partner to accuracy is consistency. Our methodology is consistent between countries and between months. This enables you to make reliable comparisons, which is very difficult to do when receiving intel via multiple channels, each prepared by different people with different assumptions.

6.The next consideration is frequency, which is monthly updates. This is possible because we’re not relying upon interviews. Together with the depth of insights into the drivers of market share – I think that trumps everything.

7.Ultimately, there’s nothing that comes even close to our frequency, depth in most places in the world, with an accuracy that’s acceptable, reliable, transparent, consistent and understandable.

We have been doing market analysis since 2009. Since 2020 we have worked with data partners to unleash the value of their data, providing insights into manufacturer market share, installer behavior, and product characteristics. Data partners include finance providers, proposal software providers, and certificate agencies (AUS). Those data partners provide us with project-level information about the size and price of the system, the equipment used, its location (country and state). Some data also provides an installer pseudonym that means we can’t identify the installer but we can track their size and buying behavior such as loyalty and share-of-wallet. We also incorporate data from governments (AUS, DE, UK), permits (USA) and re-report data from institutions such as IEA-PVPS. We do provide information about market share where available (e.g. MaStR DE, MCS UK, REC Registry AU, permits USA). We also provide market growth indicators and predictors, including volumes of customer proposals, shipping data, internet trends, number of installers active, and more.

Our market share data is weighted based upon whether a project is installed, sold, or proposed. As yet we don’t upscale the data to the market total as most countries lack a reliable monthly-updated market tally.

We provide a platform full with a rich variety of charts for you to navigate, and topics that are regularly sent out to you. Content is structured by topic and country, and is tailored to the viewer. Your internal analysts can dive deeper into our data through optional interactivity. We can also prepare custom views and data tables for you.

We operate with a very lean team due to process automation, use of modern techniques, a unique approach, and because we don’t rely upon interviews.
