Review of NSW Solar Bonus Scheme Forecasts

The Clean Energy Council engaged SunWiz to conduct a review of the methodology used and results produced in forecasting energy yields and costs of the scheme. A detailed analysis was conducted into the underlying assumptions, calculations and government policies at play so to accurately assess strengths and weaknesses of the forecasting method.This review led to a discrediting of the NSW Treasury cost estimates of the solar bonus scheme which was instrumental in overturning the government’s intention to retrospectively abolish the feed-in-tariff.
