ESS Lesson #4: Sell into the right places (different to PV)

SunWiz’s extensive analysis into where storage systems are being installed reveals significant differences in regional uptake. If you’re going to get good at selling storage, then concentrate your efforts.

One thing we’ve noticed is that high uptake of PV doesn’t necessarily correlate with high uptake of storage. This is partly because the PV customer is no longer the Innovator / Early Adopter technology enthusiast, which is still the case for battery buyers.

As an example, this chart shows the ratio of battery systems to PV systems by postcode. You can immediately see SA leads the way in terms of battery-to-PV attachment rate. However there are also regional areas with high attachment rates.
