SunWiz uses Solar Advisor Model (created by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the USA) to perform mutli-variate analysis economic optimisation of CSP and PV system configurations. SAM was used in (SunWiz owner) Warwick Johnston's masters dissertation into Concentrating Solar Power: Economics of Storage.

HOMER Energy - PV Optimisation

SunWiz uses Homer to perform hourly or half-hourly analysis of PV system output and its alignment with electrical load. HOMER has also been used to assess the value of PV in meeting peak demand, and to assess the economic optimum levels of solar panels in a diesel mini-grid.
